After the Fact Permits

About This Case

Our client purchased a property with several zoning violations that were never disclosed by the seller. For instance, several of the structures on site were located in the zoning setbacks. The county “red-tagged” the property due to these violations, which prevented our client from making any additional improvements to the property until the zoning violations were corrected. We successfully obtained all necessary after-the-fact approvals from the board of zoning appeals in close collaboration with county staff, neighbors, and other stakeholders. This avoided the need for my clients to tear down the structures at great expense.
