Expansion of Historic Home

About This Case

We represented the owners of one of the most historic homes in the Lowcountry located off the Charleston peninsula. The town’s board of architectural review refused to grant permits for reasonable expansions of the structure, despite these plans having been formulated by world-class architects. We appealed this decision and successfully negotiated a resolution at mediation, which was ultimately approved by the town council. This enabled the clients’ project to proceed in a win-win manner for all the parties involved.
